We have a great event coming up this week and next: “Buy 1 Get 1 Free” for all perennials here at the garden center. The sale lasts from June 29 – July 7 (starts this Friday and goes through all of next week).

My Dad is also hosting a free perennial seminar on June 29 and 30, twice daily (10 am / 2 pm). There will be a couple drawings at each seminar for perennials.

I hope it works out for you to attend one of the seminars and pick up a few perennials before it’s too late. One of these days we’re shuttin’ her down for the season.

PS. In case you don’t know, a perennial comes up each year. Examples are lilies, azaleas, hostas, etc. If it weren’t for perennials, my beds would be in bad shape. If you are short in gardening time, perennials are the answer.

We are dedicated to making your life more beautiful long after you take your flowers home. Besides the everyday service you can always get here at the garden center, we would like to dedicate a few days this season to focus on specific topics and teach you how to care for the plants you take home.

This Friday, June 8, we are having our first ever Rose Day! All our roses will be on sale that day for $15 each, any quantity. We have a sweet-smelling seminar (free to attend) planned on how to start and maintain a thriving rose garden in your own backyard.

• How to plant roses.
• How to make your roses beautiful.
• How to trim your roses.
• How to deal with pests.

The first seminar will be at 10:00 AM CST and then repeated at 2:00 PM. We also plan to have a drawing at each seminar for 2 roses each ($40 value).

Come join us on Friday and bring your friends along. You just might leave smelling like a rose.

First prize in this year’s drawing was a decorative windmill valued at $100 (photo at right). It was a lot of fun and Betty was pleased to receive her gift.

Second prize was a high dollar LED flashlight, the perfect gift for those gardeners that just have to go check their flowers and beans at 10:30 PM.
